Parent Support Group hosts a game night
To celebrate the end of C Term, the Parent Support Group (PSG) at Mass Academy organized a Game Night for all the students.
“The Parent Support Group had a brainstorming session months ago to come up with an idea for a March event. We then asked all parents to donate most of what we needed, including door prizes, paper goods, and lots and lots of ice cream toppings. The response from parents, as always, was overwhelming,” said Dawn Harn, a member of the PSG.
Many students attended, as it was a great way to relax and spend time with friends.
Several tables full of students each grabbed different games, with favorites being Set, Apples to Apples, and UNO.
Not only did the PSG have a wide array of games for the students, but there was also pizza and an ice cream sundae bar. Toppings included classics like gummy bears, along with more unique options like marshmallow sauce.
“We wanted the Game Night to be a relaxed, fun time for all MAMS students to unwind and celebrate the start of their Spring break,” said Harn.
The PSG’s mission was accomplished; Junior Shreya Venkayala said, “Game night was a great way to wind down C term. I had a fantastic time spending time with my friends while playing board games. The sundae bar was also a big highlight! Big shoutout to the organizers!”
